Prayer Rhythms

Utilize these different rhythms of prayer as we spend the next 40 days being intentional with coming before the Father in Prayer.

Pray Alone Out loud

There is something about proclaiming a thought or feeling out loud. Today as you pray to God speak to Him as if you were speaking to another. Pray out loud without anyone near by.

Pray With a Spouse/Friend

Coming before God with our prayers is always a special occasion. Praying with someone we are close to requires to be honest and open with both God and that person. Pray with a spouse, family member, or close friend.

Silent Meditation

Sitting in silence seems simple but in a world full of noise it can feel almost impossible. Spending time in silent meditation is not just the absence of noice but is the focusing on and listening of God speaking to us. Try and take about 15 minutes to focus on who God is and creating a space for Him to speak.

Journal a Prayer

There is something special about taking thoughts and putting them down in writing. It requires careful thought to be put towards every word. Write out your prayer to God as if a letter to a loved one.

Pray Through Scripture

Sometimes the biggest obstacle in our prayer life is not knowing what to pray. Praying through scripture gives acts as  a guide to interact with God. As you read a passage, you take time to respond and repeat back to God the truths that He has revealed through His word.

Pray With a Community Group

True community between believers has a relationship with Jesus at the center of it. This relationship formed by prayer is a communal event. Take time to come before the Lord with your community group as brothers and sisters would before the Father.
